Community Support Program (CSP)

Through CSP individuals, business and community organisations can sponsor someone who is need of protection, to Australia.

You cannot make application for this program directly to the department, but you need to go ahead through an Approved Proposer Organisation (APO).

To apply for this program, you must meet certain requirements:

  • The main applicant and all dependents must be outside their home country
  • The applicant must be subject to substantial discrimination in his/her home country.
  • The applicant must satisfy all Class XB (subclass 202) criteria of the Global Special Humanitarian Visa.
  • The main applicant must be under 50 and over 18 years of age
  • The main applicant has to prove he has good English skill
  • The main applicant must have job offer in Australia
  • The applicant must have a sponsor to apply for this program and the sponsor must have sufficient fund for this program.
